Epoxymate Pearl Powdered Pigments may be used any time a metallic or pearlescent effect is desired. Mica Powder for epoxy resin art excellently especially when mixed into Epoxy Resins but also work well with acrylics, oils, printing inks, encaustics, alcohol inks, glues, casting resins, clay, varnishes…the list goes on! Epoxymate mica powder for epoxy resin art is a safe, inert pigment that exhibits extreme colorfastness and stability. The different particle sizes produce different effects, from a smooth pearly luster to a highly metallic sheen. Pearl Ex creates a metallic effect without being a real metal—it will never tarnish or fade! The mica powder can be brushed into the mold directly to get the vibrant top layer of metallic shine. It can even be mixed with resin for shiny resin effect. Tip: When mixed with Epoxymate resin, and poured, wait for 3-4 hours and let the resin become a little sticky. Then with a mixing spoon, make patterns and the patterns will stay like that in the final product. Note: Pearl Ex Powdered Pigments were specifically developed as an art material.
